Childbirth and other womens troubles
hot..or is it me????
Think I'm coming up to menopause, feeling hot...very hot, have to put the fan on hot.
hubby reckons I'm like sitting next to the heater. Not sure if its menopause or some immune thigy to do with active arthritis.
whatever, wish it'd go away.
I remember....
I didn't think I would get any children......not get......produce? LOL I had cysts on my ovaries at 17 and in my post op stupor the Dr told me to have babies soon as I had ...well I thought he said diverticulums or something like that...at that time I wasn't a nurse and it made no sense....when I became a nurse it still made no sense LOL I heard wrong, he meant to say...Endometriosis....ummm they sound alike....don' t they?
It wasn't until I had a miscarraige after a year of trying to fall that I was told this new word and what it meant. I went on some hormonal treatment and when that finished I fell straight away....3 years later.
there are some lovely test and procedures for infertility..want to her about them....thought not.
I enjoyed being pregnant, except for the morning noon and afternon sickness and the backache and it took me a 4th pregnancy to be able to eat chicken again......
My Pirate lookalike was born at 43 weeks.....yes you read that right........my cervix would not soften apparantly. I was finally induced.....God forbid he'd still be in there.....my date was the 4th november,I'd been charting for 4 years so I'm pretty confident I got it right, the ultrasound said the 14th and well I was induced on the 34th ...well if there'd been a 34th i would have been ....I mean ....24th.
Lovely Dr still told me I'd be back up in the ward crying after a failed induction, but i actually saw the inside of the labor room....fianlly. I had only been in there a few hours after the drip wet up and I wanted pethidine......needed pethideine, they laughed at me ...nasty bitches, got me up on the bed and LET me use the gas, 3 and a half hours and a shot of pethidine later he was born. Very fast for a first baby, thats why they hadn't wanted to gve me the peth they though I would have hours yet. I went to fully very fast after the peth and when pirate was born he didn't want to breathe and they agve him Narcan to reverse the peth......don't think he's ever forgiven me for ending his high.......can be an argumentative bugger sometimes 
he was a normal size bub, quite average size, now 16yrs later, hes a great huge thing about 6 foot and solid like footy forward LOL its like hubby grew big tomatoes and "look what I grew, a big pirate"
